Ishaqzaade starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra clocked 8 years on May 11, 2020. To celebrate the occasion, Parineeti shared a photo of her National Award from 2012.
The 31-year-old actor expressed her gratitude over receiving the special mention during the National Film Awards ceremony. She wrote, “THE FILM THAT GAVE ME THIS #NationalAward #Grateful #Blessed #8YearsOfIshaqzaade *Thankyou Adi, Habib Sir, Arjun, Shanoo, Gauahar, and my entire Ishaqzaade family for changing my life forever*”
She further thanked Arjun Kapoor who became her first friend in the industry. “You became my first friend from the industry and will always remain so,” she wrote along with a heart emoji.
Helmed by Habib Faisal, and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films, the film marked the debut of Arjun Kapoor.
Since then Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti have starred in two films – Namaste England and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar. The latter, directed by Dibakar Banerjee, is yet to release.
