After Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, Neelam Kothari Soni signs Zoya Akhtar’s Made in Heaven 2

Neelam Kothari Soni is garnering praises for her splendid portrayal in Netflix’s show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. While the show features her ongoing dilemma to return to the industry, a switch from her current jewelry business, the actress seems to have found a show that suits her taste. In her recent announcement, she revealed that she has signed up for the popular web series Made in Heaven which will return on Amazon Prime with Season 2.

Speaking about the response she received for Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives 2, a source close to the actress said, “The show had Neelam playing herself and she has successfully struck a chord with the audience due to her adorable and graceful persona. People have been sharing clips of Neelam from the show that depict her not-much shown, funnier and outgoing self.”

“In one of the episodes, Neelam shared the news about her stint in Zoya Akhtar’s celebrated and much talked about Made in Heaven 2. Neelam Kothari Soni’s stint in the second season of Zoya Akhtar’s popular web series that shall also feature her husband Samir Soni and Sanjay Kapoor has left fans cheering and rooting for their favorite actress,” confirmed the source.

On the other hand, Neelam went on to speak about her new project adding, “I was elated when I heard the script. Zoya’s craft is really unmatchable. The fact that I get to share screen space with Samir is absolutely thrilling! Neeraj Ghaywan is a gifted director. I am sure the audience is going to love seeing me, Samir and Sanjay, together on the screen.”

Speaking of Made In Heaven, the show features Sobhita Dhulipala and Arjun Mathur as Delhi-based wedding planners along with Jim Sarbh, Kalki Koechlin playing pivotal roles. The last season ended with Sobhita discovering her husband’s played by Jim affair with his childhood friend, played by Kalki. The show also loosely touches upon the topics like dowry and homosexuality. After receiving much appreciation for its first season, the makers decided to bring it back with Season 2.
