Avengers: Endgame 2nd Weekend Fandango Sales 85% Higher Than Infinity War

Repeat ticket Fandango sales for Avengers: Endgame are streaking ahead of Avengers: Infinity War as the superhero film continues to dominate at the box office. After a full year of waiting, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are flocking to see the franchise’s latest mega team-up adventure, which continues on from the tragic cliffhanger ending of Avengers: Infinity War.

Directed by the Russo brothers and featuring more or less every major star from the last 11 years of MCU movies, Avengers: Endgame is being touted as the culmination of the current incarnation of Avengers and the start of a new saga in Marvel Studios’ canon.

Given the sheer level of hype surrounding Avengers: Endgame’s release, as well as Infinity War‘s status as the third highest grossing film of all time, the latest Avengers movie was widely expected to perform strongly at the box office, but the reality has exceeded even those predictions.

In the midst of breaking a string of theatrical records, such as highest grossing domestic opening day and worldwide weekend, Avengers: Endgame has hit the $1 billion mark far quicker than even Avengers: Infinity War managed to and has boosted the MCU’s total box office takings to a staggering $20 billion.

In a further sign of Avengers: Endgame’s continued success, Fandango has revealed that repeat customer ticket sales ahead of the film’s second weekend are a huge 85 percent higher than they were for Avengers: Infinity War last year. Fandango managing editor Erik Davis states:

“Avengers: Endgame is virtually unstoppable. Fans are loving the latest Marvel film and returning to theaters in droves to revisit this epic conclusion to the MCU’s 22-film story arc.”
