Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Trailer: Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani enter Manjulika’s haveli; Donald Trump’s tweets and Bigg Boss references add to the humour

The highly anticipated horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, directed by Anees Bazmee stars Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, and Tabu in lead roles. The trailer of the film was launched today in Mumbai and introduces us to key characters of Kartik’s Rooh Baba and Kiara’s Reet. We also meet the calm and composed Tabu and Rajpal Yadav reprising the role of Chhote Pandit. The film-like its previous installment is set in an old haveli with the villagers in fear of Manjulika.

The trailer begins with the very familiar ‘Ami Che Tomar’ and the visual taking us to the infamous haveli and Tabu narrating the return of Manjulika after 15 years. Kartik as Rooh baba has shades of the modern man in him and claims that he can see dead people and that he grew up in the presence of ghosts. Meanwhile, Rajpal’s character once again is a complete entertainer and elevates the humour quotient with his one-liners. In the trailer, he is seen wishing to be a part of the reality show Bigg Boss where he would at least be paid for suffering humiliation at the hands of Rooh baba.

Kartik’s carefree nature and affair with Kiara are also shown in the trailer. On the other hand, Tabu warns him of Manjulika, however, he takes it lightly and opens the dreaded doors. “Donald Trump ke tweet aur chudailo ke feet, humesh ulte hi hote hai,” mocks Kartik on his first encounter with Manjulika. We also catch a glimpse of Kiara possessed by Manjulika and the chaos that ensues. Donald Trump’s tweet reference comes at a time when there are strong speculations of his account being restored in the wake of Elon Musk taking over the social media platform.

Meanwhile, the trailer promises a perfect blend of horror and comedy, with lots of scares accompanied by heaps of laughter leaving the moviegoers excited and curious to know more. Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani this haunted comedy fest is all set to spook the audience on the 20th of May on the big screens.
