Shahid Kapoor is expected to make his big OTT debut with Farzi, which will release on Amazon Prime Video. The show is expected to feature the actor in a grey-shaded role of a thief, who is fed up with middle-class life and wants to achieve his dream of luxury in the fastest way possible. The show also brings him together with South star Vijay Sethupathi for the first time. While he has been bestowed with the title of Makkal Selvan (people’s man) Vijay, the Kapoor boy revealed why he is respected as an actor as he couldn’t stop gushing about his co-star and his dedication towards the art of acting.
Earlier today, Shahid Kapoor attended the trailer launch of his first web series Farzi and during the same, the actor opened up about his experience of shooting it. While interacting with the media, Kapoor couldn’t stop appreciating the talent of Vijay Sethupathi as an actor and expressed that it is an honor for them to work with him. He said, “It’s been a privilege to work with him. We don’t have so much scenes together in the film. we are generally running parallel to each other and sometimes we cross path. Whatever I have got to work with him, I keep learning from him.”
He continued, “While we are promoting the film, I realized that I find his mind so interesting. He is truly an actor at heart. I wish to do much more work with him. There is still so much to learn from him. He is a phenomenal artist. It’s a privilege to have him on this show.” He further also welcomed South actress Raashii Khanna, who too will be seen in a pivotal role in the show. He also recalled the time when the show was being shot during the pandemic and how they all got to know each other better because they were stuck in a hotel together.
Produced by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, Farzi revolves around a middle-class man who can go to any extent to fulfill his dream of leading a luxurious life. But there is only one hindrance – an honest but brutal cop who wouldn’t stop at anything to find him and expose his conspiracy.
