A special screening of Saif Ali Khan, Tabu and Alaya F starrer ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’ was held last night. The screening turned out to be a family affair as from Saif’s wifey Kareena Kapoor to Alaya’s parents Pooja and Farhan Furniturewala attended the show
It was indeed an emotional as well as a proud moment for Pooja, watching her daughter making her big Bollywood debut. Post the screening she took to her Twitter to tweet about the film and Alaya’s act. “So emotional!!!! Watched #JawaaniJaaneman with cast crew & family. I’ve laughed & wept &been filled with a multitude of emotions!!!! What an amazing feeling to watch my child on the big screen. Her love & commitment to her craft is so apparent. Thank u @jayshewakramani @Pooja_Ent.”, Pooja tweeted.
Pooja was accompanied by boyfriend Maneck Contractor at the screening. While her ex-husband Farhan arrived with his wife and son. Pooja’s father and actor Kabir Bedi also attended the screening of the film with wife Parveen Dusanj.
Meanwhile, sharing the experience of working with two senior actors Saif Ali Khan and Tabu, Alaya said, “Initially, I was intimidated by them but they never made me feel I am their junior. Both of them are extremely motivating and inspiring. There are loving people. There’s so much to learn from them.”
Helmed by Nitin Kakkar, the rom-com ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’ is slated to hit theatres on January 31.
