KGF 2 Box Office: Rs. 7 cr. advance booking in just 48 hours for the opening day; surpasses opening day of Bell Bottom, Antim & Pushpa

Rocky Bhai has arrived and has already started to shatter many records at the box office with its advance ticket sales. According to our tracking, the movie has collected Rs. 7 crore plus with its advance booking in a matter of 48 hours for the opening day and it is headed to record one of the best advances of all time in the Hindi belts.

Just through the first 24 hours, the movie has surpassed what films like Bell Bottom (Rs. 2.75 crore), Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui (Rs. 3.75 crore), Satyameva Jayate 2 (Rs. 3.25 crore), Antim (Rs. 5.03 crore), Tadap and Pushpa earned in a single day. While Antim featured Salman Khan in an extended appearance, Bell BottomChandigarh Kare Aashiqui and SMJ 2 were solo films featuring A-listers like Akshay Kumar, Ayushmann Khurrana and John Abraham.

The movie is expected to go past the opening day of other A-Lister films like 83 (Ranveer Singh), Gangubai Kathiawadi (Alia Bhatt) and Bell Bottom (Akshay Kumar) with mere advance booking. It’s on a record breaking spree and it’s almost certain that the advance booking total of KGF 2 will be higher than the total collections of its competitor, Jersey starring Shahid Kapoor.

The movie is fast headed towards an opening day advance of Rs. 15 crore plus by the end of Wednesday and this is despite competition and relatively lower showcasing. The opening day of KGF 2 is sure to be Rs. 30 crores, and it remains to be seen how much more it earns. If the talk is positive, the film might well become the first 300 crore net in Hindi belts in the pandemic times.

Interestingly, the first part of KGF earned around Rs. 45 crore in the Hindi belts, and even in the worst case scenario, KGF 2 will surpass that figure in one and a half days.
