Kiara Advani reviews Mission Majnu: Heaps praise on majnu Sidharth Malhotra; Karan Johar calls it “a proud performance”

Ahead of the release of Mission Majnu, the makers of the film organised a special screening in Mumbai on January 17. Among many others, Sidharth Malhotra’s rumoured girlfriend and actress Kiara Advani also attended the screening. Now, the actress has dropped her review for the Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna starrer, which will be released on Netflix.

On Wednesday, Kiara took to the story section of her verified Instagram handle and shared one of the official posters of Mission Majnu featuring Sidharth Malhotra. Captioning her story, Advani wrote, “An outstanding performance from India’s Majnu! Must Must watch!!”

The Machine actress further added, “A beautifully executed film / Huge congratulations to the entire team.” She also tagged the star cast along with the makers.

Not only her, but filmmaker Karan Johar also dedicated an Instagram post to the Netflix original film. In his caption, Johar wrote, “There are so many heroes that are either footnotes in historical archives or aren’t even mentioned because of secrecy and espionage… MISSION MAJNU is a taut, engaging and eventually immensely emotional journey of an unsung hero trapped in a maze of love and patriotism … a mission that no one knows about…..brilliantly edited with such a fine balance of pace and sensitivity.”

Continuing the review, KJo added, “The entire cast is a winner ! The fragility of @rashmika_mandanna was heartening to watch… but eventually the film belongs to the majnu himself! ( No spoilers) but he justifies the duplicity of his character with dollops of sincerity and strength ! He’s the “hero” when required and the “majnu” when needed! This one’s such a great addition to his filmography! A proud performance! My congratulations to the team of #MISSIONMAJNU and to team @netflix_in !

For the unversed, Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna’s first collaboration, Mission Majnu, will be released on Netflix on January 20.
