South Korean star Youn Yuh Jun, who most recently parted ways with her Korean agency Hook Entertainment, has reportedly joined the American talent management agency CAA. According to Deadline, CAA has signed Youn Yuh Jung, who in 2021 became the first Korean actress to win an Academy Award, as well as a SAG Award, an Independent Spirit Award and a BAFTA.
Youn Yuh Jun rose to global fame after her performances in Lee Isaac Chung’s semi-autobiographical drama Minari and Apple TV+’s acclaimed drama series Pachinko. She also appeared in the Netflix sci-fi drama series Sense8, from Lana and Lilly Wachowski.
Her other film credits include A Good Lawyer’s Wife, The Taste of Money and The Bacchus Lady, among many other projects. Meanwhile, CAA is home to a well-known group of talents including Steven Spielberg, Beyonce, Brad Pitt, Lee Jung Jae, Kang Dong Won, and Jung Ho Yeon.
