The Ram Charan – Jr. NTR starrer RRR directed by SS Rajamouli has done it. After opening on a good note, the business of the film continued to witness immense growth with each passing day. In fact, RRR which also features special appearances from Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn managed to hold fast despite the competition from other releases. Now, weeks after its release, RRR has managed to cross the Rs. 1000 cr. mark at the worldwide box office.
Collecting a staggering Rs. 880.4 cr. gross from the domestic market and a further Rs. 203.6 cr. gross from the overseas markets the total worldwide gross collections of RRR stand at Rs. 1084 cr. Interestingly, with RRR crossing the Rs. 1000 cr mark, SS Rajamouli has become the only director to have two films that have achieved this target. Following the highly successful Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion, RRR has now propelled Rajamouli into the limelight.
Going further, with newer releases in the form of KGF – Chapter 2 dominating screens in both the domestic and overseas markets, the business of RRR has taken a drastic hit. Despite this, the film continues to see collections trickling in with certain locations still featuring the film. However, the current rate of the business will not affect the overall collections of the film much.
