The essential service workers have been working nonstop day and night amid Coronavirus pandemic and nationwide lockdown. In order to express gratitude towards Maharashtra Police and their work during these trying times, several celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Arjun Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Vaani Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, and Riteish Deshmukh have changed their social media profile pictures to Maharashtra police logo.
State Home Minister Anil Deshmukh made an appeal to the public to change their social media display pictures. Anil wrote on Twitter, “Maharashtra Police has stood by citizens thro’ calamities, attacks & disasters. Today as they lead the war on Corona on the streets, I’ve decided to celebrate them by changing my DP on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc to the Maharashtra Police logo. Join me in this endeavour.”
