Actor Sonam Kapoor and businessman Anand Ahuja got married on May 8, 2018, in a traditional Anand Karaj ceremony. On August 20, 2022, the couple embraced parenthood and welcomed their first baby boy Vayu Kapoor Ahuja in Mumbai. The actress reveals in an interview that she had a “nice break” from movies and would now like to get back to it. She will next be seen in Sujoy Ghosh’s Blind.
In a recent Interview, Sonam opened up on her desire to get back to film. She said, “Honestly, It’s been a nice break. I’ve been doing this since I was so young, but I now want to come back and start getting into things again”.
Talking about her upcoming film with Sujoy Ghosh, she said, “I did a film right before I got pregnant, now it’s releasing. I’m dying to get back on set because that’s what I’ve done most of my adult life. My film is going to come out soon. Sujoy (Sujoy Ghosh) is the creative producer. It’s a thriller and I’m excited for people to see it”.
Sonam Kapoor also spoke about why she has not revealed her son Vayu’s face to media. Though the actress has shared glimpse of her baby time and again. She said, “I don’t think till he’s grown up (on sharing pictures). In fact, (it’ll be) when he decides himself”.
Sonam Kapoor was last seen in The Zoya Factor which was released in 2019. She had also performed a cameo role in her father Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap’s AK vs AK, which released on Netflix in 2021. She will be next seen in the action-thriller, directed by Shome Makhija, that revolves around a blind police officer who is in search of a serial killer.
