India is seeing a rapid rise in Coronavirus affected cases. The country is currently under 21-day lockdown as the government is trying to contain the spread of the virus. Amid the global health crisis, essential service workers, shop owners, sweepers, cleaners, etc are still working to ensure the city is safe and healthy.
Vidya Balan recently shared a video of a woman cleaning the streets amid the lockdown. She thanked her for her work. In the video, the woman was wearing a mask while cleaning the trash and putting it in the garbage bin. Vidya called out to her. “Madam, madam!” and said Thank you.” The lady acknowledged the actress’ gesture.
Earlier, Vidya Balan urged everyone to donate generously to those impacted due to the virus. “As we all know the whole world is facing an unprecedented challenge due to the coronavirus. In India it is estimated that 200 million people go hungry every day and this number is only increasing at an alarming rate in the current situation,” she said. “Scores of daily wage labourers, jobless workers and others who have no groceries, no food to eat. And in these difficult times Mumbai Roti Bank is providing free meals to the poor and needy.”
