WAR has released and people are raving about what is being hailed as the best action film produced by Bollywood. It has made Rs 50 crore plus on the opening day. BollywoodLife had an exclusive chat with WAR’s Kabir, superstar Hrithik Roshan. The Greek God of Bollywood had very little time to transform his body for the action film. “It was tough. I felt maybe the film won’t happen at one point. I was in dire straits but manged to pull through somehow,” he says. In the film, he plays an Indian intelligence officer who turns rogue.

Fans are also going crazy over the Ghungroo song and the hook-step that Hrithik Roshan has made look so effortless. “Well, that hook step happened on the sets. It was not choreographed. Siddharth Anand was looking for something different. At the 20th take, I did something else and he liked it. It became the hook-step,” says the star. Hrithik Roshan says the action sequences of the film were the toughest to shoot. “It took a lot. Before WAR, I did a couple of films where I did not need to be in the best of shape. The action scenes of WAR were damn tough,” he says.

WAR has also brought together the mentor-protege jodi of Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan. It is a known fact how much the young star admires and loves HR. “He is exceptional, great. Tiger has some admirable qualities. He is the best co-star I have ever worked with. He is a thorough professional. Both of us admire and appreciate each other a lot. I care a lot for him,” says Hrithik. People have loved the twists and turns in the film. The actor who has delivered action blockbusters like Bang Bang and Krissh says action scripts are tough to write. “After Kaabil, I was waiting for a great script (in the action genre) and got it with WAR,” he states.

When we asked the actor about the current scenario where films are hits either on the basis of scale and content. In fact, some films with decent reviews have tanked of late. “I have implicit belief in the audience. They decide what is good or bad. You cannot rebel against that,” he says. The actor lastly revealed that a video of his epic transformation for the film will be out soon. Stay tuned to NEXSTAR for more scoops and updates!
