Anupam Kher and Kirron Kher recently celebrated Diwali with son Sikander Kher but it was not just the trio. The three of them visited the Bachchans at their annual Diwali bash. Readers would be aware that the grand Bachchan bash is one of the most famous parties of the tinsel town and is expected to be a star studded affair. Kirron Kher posted photographs with the Bachchan family including Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan and along with that she also posted with superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
In a series of photos shared by her on her official Instagram page, Kirron shared a post dedicated to the Bachchan family which included photos of her with Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan saying, “Diwali with the Bachchans @amitabhbachchan @sikandarkher @bachchan.” Interestingly, the actress has shared screen space with both of them in many films.
The actress, who has played the onscreen mother of Shah Rukh Khan several times, posted another photo with the superstar from the Bachchan Diwali bash. Along with the post, she also shared how thrilled she was meet to him. She posted the picture saying, “Last night with my dear friend Shahrukh. So wonderful meeting old friends for Diwali @iamsrk”
Her husband Anupam Kher also gave us a glimpse of the bash at the Bachchan household. He not only posted photos with his Uunchai co-star but also thanked the megastar for inviting them. “Thank you #Amitji, #JayaJi, #Abhishek and #Aishwarya for a wonderful #Deepawali experience at your place. It was great to have some festive time with you all! Love and prayers always. #ShubhDeepawali #Festival”
Anupam Kher also added a pic with Shah Rukh Khan but what made it special was the music he chose for this photograph. He added the iconic track ‘Tujhe Dekha Toh’ from their mega blockbuster and legendary film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. The film featured Anupam in the role of SRK’s super cool dad whereas Kajol played the leading lady. He also dedicated a lovely caption to the superstar saying, “Diwali bonanza! Met my dearest friend #Shahrukh after a very long time. He was as always loving, caring, respectful, compassionate and of course charming! May God give him all the happiness in the world!???? @iamsrk #DDLJ #Friend #Love.”
Interestingly, Anupam Kher and Amitabh Bachchan will be coming together on the big screen soon. The two actors will be seen as the leading men along with Boman Irani in the Rajshri Production film Uunchai that also stars Parineeti Chopra, Neena Gupta, Sarika among others. Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, the film will release on November 11.
