Ranbir Kapoor and Anurag Basu have collaborated previously for ‘Barfi!’ and ‘Jagga Jasoos’. And recently in an interview, filmmaker Anurag Basu talked about his upcoming project, a biopic on legendary singer Kishore Kumar. There were reports which suggested that the film has been shelved, however, the director stated that it will happen for sure.
He also revealed that Ranbir Kapoor will be playing the titular role and they both are committed to it. He further said that the work on the film depends on Ranbir’s availability. Anurag also revealed that RK is his first choice for the role.
Meanwhile, Anurag is currently busy with his upcoming film ‘Ludo’. It stars Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanya Malhotra in the lead roles.
Ranbir, on the other hand, will be next seen in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’ co-starring Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan. The film has been slated to hit the theatres in December 2020.
