Filmmaker Rohit Shetty recently wrapped up the shoot of his much-anticipated film, ‘Sooryavanshi . The film stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. The film also starred Neena Gupta and the announcement about her addition was made early this year.
But now if the latest reports are to be believed, Neena has backed out from the film. She was supposed to play the role of Akki’s mother in the film. It is being said that the senior actress has parted ways since the role didn’t fit the storyline.

The actress had shot for a few days but when Shetty realized that her part didn’t fit into the larger narrative, she was then informed that her character would be modified. As the film is about Akshay and Katrina, Neena understood Rohit’s difficulty and chose to walk out of the film. Reports also suggest that there’s no tension between two. In fact, Neena even went ahead and quipped about casting her in his next project.
Well, that’s sad news! But we hope we get to see her working with Rohit in his next.
‘Sooryavanshi’ is all slated to release on 27 th March 2020.
Meanwhile, Neena will soon be seen in Ayushmaan Khurrana starrer ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’. The film will be releasing on February 21, 2020.
